Today 2 billion people lack access to clean drinking water which results in destabilization of human settlements, growing inequalities and a threat to the existence of both human and non-human life. Fog is a dynamic resource that carries water droplets that can be harvested with low tech technologies. Fog collection has a minimal environmental footprint compared to resource-intensive practices like drilling wells or building dams. Fog harvesting systems are relatively simple and can be powered by renewable energy sources, reducing energy costs and carbon emissions.
